If B&M is coaster engineering’s craftsman, Intamin is its daredevil. The Swiss-Liechtenstein manufacturer owns virtually every speed record that matters, and this list ranks its 25 fastest operating coasters from ThrillZing’s database.
The podium is the world podium: Falcons Flight (155.3 mph), the fastest coaster ever built; Top Thrill 2 (120 mph), whose original Intamin tower was reborn in 2024 with new Zamperla launch hardware; and Red Force at Ferrari Land (111.8 mph). Intamin’s Formula Rossa at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi (149.1 mph) would rank second, but it has been closed for maintenance since May 12, 2026, so it is left off this list of operating rides. No other manufacturer has a single operating coaster above 100.

Intamin’s speed dynasty runs through two decades of launch innovation: hydraulic catapults (Xcelerator in 2002 was the prototype for the Dragster era), LSM swing launches, and the triple-LSM-launched cliff dive that makes Falcons Flight the fastest ride in history.
But the list isn’t all launches — Millennium Force (93 mph) started the giga era with a lift hill in 2000, and Pantherian, Hyperion, and Skyrush show the firm’s cable-lift hypers holding their own twenty years on.
