A good park day comes down to a few small things: keeping your phone and keys with you on rides that ban loose articles, staying cool in long summer queues, and having enough battery to last until the fireworks. This is the gear we actually pack for a full day at parks like Cedar Point, Kings Island and Carowinds.
Before you go, check the park’s rules. Many big coasters, including Steel Vengeance, Top Thrill 2 and Fury 325, don’t allow loose items on the ride, which is why a zippered belt bag or crossbody phone pouch is the most useful thing on this list.
