Falcons Flight at Six Flags Qiddiya City holds three simultaneous world records: the tallest, fastest, and longest complete-circuit roller coaster on Earth. Built by Swiss manufacturer Intamin as an Exa Coaster, it made its debut on December 31, 2025, when Qiddiya City’s flagship theme park opened outside Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Riders climb to a height of 163 metres (534 ft) and are propelled to a top speed of 250 km/h (about 155 mph) via Intamin’s Linear Synchronous Motor launch system, covering 4,250 metres — nearly 2.6 miles — of steel track in just over three and a half minutes. The coaster dethrones Top Thrill 2, Formula Rossa, and Steel Dragon 2000 simultaneously.

The Ride Experience

Falcons Flight launches from the station via LSM technology, driving riders up a towering 163-metre hill before a near-vertical 90-degree drop of 158 metres. Multiple LSM boost sections throughout the layout sustain breathtaking velocities, peaking at 250 km/h — faster than many top-fuel dragsters at that sustained level.

Despite its extreme statistics, the Exa Coaster design prioritizes comfort through aerodynamically engineered trains that seat 14 passengers two-across in seven rows. The full circuit lasts about 3 minutes and 35 seconds, giving riders ample time to take in the dramatic Saudi Arabian terrain from record-setting altitudes.

World Records and Engineering Legacy

When Falcons Flight opened on December 31, 2025, it simultaneously displaced three long-standing champions: it surpassed Top Thrill 2 as the world’s tallest coaster, pushed Steel Dragon 2000 off its perch as the longest, and eclipsed Formula Rossa as the fastest. No roller coaster has ever claimed all three titles at once.

As the world’s first Exa Coaster model, Falcons Flight is also a milestone in theme-park engineering. It anchors Six Flags Qiddiya City — Saudi Arabia’s first Six Flags park — which is part of a sprawling entertainment megaproject roughly 40 kilometres southwest of Riyadh.
