This list ranks theme parks by estimated annual attendance for 2025, the latest year with published figures. The numbers come from the TEA Global Experience Index, an annual study compiled by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) with research partners Entertainment + Culture Advisors (ECA) and The Park Database (TPDB) that tracks visit totals for the world’s major parks; the 2025 edition was released October 27, 2026, and is cross-checked here against operator statements and news coverage of the same report. Attendance means recorded or estimated visits for the year, not unique visitors, so a guest who comes back ten times on an annual pass counts as ten visits.

Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida led the field again in 2025 with an estimated 17.8 million visits, down slightly (0.2%) from 2024. Disneyland Park in Anaheim was second at roughly 17.41 million, after growing 0.4%, which narrowed Magic Kingdom’s lead to about 394,000 visits. Universal Studios Japan in Osaka held third at just over 16 million. After that the field thins out fast: fourth-ranked Tokyo Disneyland drew 15.2 million, and by the 10th spot the figure has dropped to roughly 10.3 million.

The Full Ranking

Figures are 2025 estimated attendance in millions of visits, as published in the TEA Global Experience Index, compiled by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) with research partners Entertainment + Culture Advisors (ECA) and The Park Database (TPDB), released October 27, 2026; percentage changes are versus 2024. This list covers the full worldwide top 25 from that index. The park listed 19th was still named Walt Disney Studios Park when its 2025 attendance was recorded; Disneyland Paris renamed and relaunched it as Disney Adventure World on March 29, 2026, as part of a multi-year expansion, so this list uses its current official name with the former name noted.

Why Magic Kingdom Leads

Magic Kingdom’s lead comes down to scale and repetition. It anchors Walt Disney World’s four-park Orlando resort, where annual pass holders and multi-day ticket packages push the same travelers through its turnstiles repeatedly across a single trip. Disneyland Park in Anaheim sits close behind at 17.41 million, and the two together illustrate how much of this list carries the Disney brand: Disney-branded parks account for 12 of the 25 parks here, including 8 of the top 10 worldwide.

Universal Studios Japan’s third-place finish, up slightly at just over 16 million, shows that a single standalone park can compete with a multi-park resort when it has strong intellectual-property draws (Super Nintendo World, Harry Potter) and a dense home market. Below the top three, the picture is mixed: Shanghai Disneyland rose 2.0% and Disneyland Paris jumped 5.7%, while Everland and Lotte World Adventure, both in South Korea, fell 15.6% and 4.6% respectively, drops TEA attributed partly to extreme summer weather in the region, and Universal Studios Hollywood dropped 8.0%. Universal Orlando’s new third gate, Epic Universe, opened May 22, 2025 and drew an estimated 4 million visits in its partial first year; that was too short a period, and too few visits, to place it in the worldwide top 25 shown here.

How the Attendance Figures Work, and Where They Are Disputed

No park operator on this list publishes an audited, independently verified attendance figure, so every number here is a published estimate, not a guaranteed exact count. The TEA Global Experience Index builds its totals from operator interviews, ticketing and industry data, and modeling, then rounds the figures to one or two decimal places. Public filings occasionally offer a partial check: Comcast and The Walt Disney Company report park segment revenue but rarely headline visit counts, so outside estimates like TEA’s remain the most-cited figures for cross-park comparison. Disney Experiences overall, across its full global portfolio, drew an estimated 146.8 million visits in 2025, up 1.1% from about 145.2 million in 2024, making it by far the largest theme park operator by total attendance even though no single Disney gate tops 18 million.

There is genuine disagreement in the industry about whether “attendance” should count unique guests or total visits, and about how multi-day tickets or hopper passes should be allocated across a resort’s different gates. Treat the gap between parks within a percentage point or two, such as Disneyland Park and Universal Studios Japan, as small enough that next year’s estimates could change the order. The table above reflects the TEA index’s full worldwide top 25 for 2025.

What This Means If You’re Planning a Visit

The parks at the top of this list are also the most crowded on an average day: Magic Kingdom’s 17.8 million visits work out to roughly 49,000 guests a day averaged across the year, though actual daily crowds swing far higher around holidays and school breaks and lower in off-peak weeks. Parks further down the list, like Europa-Park (6.25 million) or Efteling (5.78 million), draw more modest but still substantial crowds and tend to have shorter lines and more flexible ticketing. Disney Adventure World, the renamed and expanded former Walt Disney Studios Park, reopened in 2026 with new lands including a Frozen-themed zone, so its 2025 attendance figure (recorded under the old name) likely understates 2026 and future crowds. If a slow, uncrowded day matters more to you than visiting the single most famous gate, a park outside the top 10 on this list is usually the better bet.

The figures are published estimates from industry reports, not audited counts, since operators generally don’t disclose exact attendance.
