Dignity Health Sports Park is a 27,000-seat soccer-specific stadium in Carson, California, sitting on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills about 14 miles south of downtown Los Angeles. Opened in 2003 as the Home Depot Center, the venue has carried three different naming-rights titles over its history, becoming Dignity Health Sports Park in 2019.
The stadium anchors a larger multi-sport complex that also includes a velodrome, an 8,000-seat tennis stadium, and a track-and-field facility. It remains best known as the longtime home of the LA Galaxy, while also having hosted an NFL team, a college football program, and an XFL franchise during temporary stays.

A Home for Soccer in Southern California
Since opening, the stadium has served as the primary home of the LA Galaxy, one of MLS’s flagship franchises, and it also hosted the now-defunct Chivas USA from 2005 to 2014. Designed by Rossetti Architects, the soccer-specific layout keeps fans close to the pitch, a design approach that helped popularize the format across MLS in the years after it opened.
Beyond its primary tenant, the stadium’s size and location in the Los Angeles market have made it a frequent choice for international friendlies and U.S. national team matches.
A Venue of Many Names and Many Tenants
The venue opened as the Home Depot Center, was renamed StubHub Center in 2013, and became Dignity Health Sports Park in 2019. That adaptability extended to its tenants: the Los Angeles Chargers played home games there from 2017 to 2019 while awaiting SoFi Stadium, the San Diego State Aztecs used it during a 2020-2021 facility transition, and the XFL’s Los Angeles Wildcats called it home for the league’s short 2020 season.
The surrounding complex, including its velodrome and tennis stadium, has also made the site a regular stop for U.S. Olympic team training and events.
