What’s new for 2026
Two mazes debut this year. JASON: Blood Reign is a Friday the 13th walkthrough set in the dark woods around the legendary summer camp. Metal Massacre is a heavy metal themed maze. Both join the returning lineup, so the park now lists six mazes in the main group.
Hooked is the new scare zone. It is a pirate themed haunted port full of seafarers, merchants and scrappy ruffians, and it joins three returning zones. The Conjuring: Beyond Fear also returns as an upcharge experience, so plan for it separately from the main maze bundle.
Haunted houses and scare zones
The maze lineup is JASON: Blood Reign, Metal Massacre, Order of the Dragon, Alien Abyss, Killmart and Slaughter House. Alien Abyss, Killmart and Slaughter House carry sponsor names from Snickers, M&M’S and Skittles. The Conjuring: Beyond Fear is an interactive add-on featuring characters such as The Nun and the Annabelle doll.
The four scare zones are Pumpkin Eater, Coney Maul, Abandoned and the new Hooked. They are open to anyone with admission, so you can get scares without buying a maze bundle. Live shows include Nytewalkers, an acrobatic zombie stunt show, Ghouls Gone Wild, and Dr. Nightmare’s Game Show. Showtimes are in the Six Flags app.
Daytime and family activities
Scares typically take over around 6 PM. Before that, Tricks and Treats runs on select days from September 27 to November 1. It has a trick-or-treat trail in the kids area where costumed characters hand out candy, a Mask Makers Mash craft activity near International Street, a costume contest at the Bandstand and a BeanBoozled taste challenge. Live entertainment includes The Fangtasticks and a Skelebration Dance Party.
During Halloween Haunt, Planet Snoopy and Camp Snoopy are closed on Thursdays and Fridays. They close early on Saturdays and Sundays, so check the park calendar or app for the exact time if you have young kids in the group.
Tickets, passes and Fast Lane
The Halloween Haunt bundle combines park admission with maze access and starts as low as $64 online. The price varies by date, and a processing fee applies. The All-Season Haunted Attractions Pass starts at $49 on the official page. Every guest needs their own paid admission ticket.
The Conjuring: Beyond Fear costs extra. An Express Pass is offered as an optional upgrade for shorter lines, but the price is not published in the sources reviewed. Buy on the official Kings Island page on the Six Flags site, where you can also check which nights are open.
Tips for your visit
Choose a primary and a backup date, since the event does not run every night. Arrive before the scares begin at about 6 PM so you can ride and eat first, then head to the mazes once the sun sets. Wait times build later in the evening, so consider starting with the mazes you care about most.
Dress for Ohio fall weather, with layers and comfortable shoes for a lot of walking. The park does not recommend the event for children under 13, and this is a good rule to follow for the mazes.
