Fright Fest 2026 runs on select nights from September 12 to November 1 at Mid America Adventure in Eureka, Missouri. The park was known as Six Flags St. Louis until it was renamed on August 27, 2026. The property was sold to EPR Properties, and Enchanted Parks operates it under a long-term lease. This is its first Fright Fest under the new name. The event runs from 6pm to 11pm on event nights, and the new-for-2026 headliner is a haunted house called Gordy’s Gruesome Revenge, plus two new shows.
Fright Fest suits teens and adults who want haunted houses, scare zones and live shows after dark. Fright Fest itself comes with regular park admission, but the four haunted houses need a separate Haunted Attractions Pass or wristband. Families with younger kids have a separate daytime option called Boo Fest, and the ticket site says guests 16 and younger need a chaperone who is 21 or older at Fright Fest.

What’s new for 2026
The new haunted house is Gordy’s Gruesome Revenge. It is a day-to-night flip on a single set: a candy trail by day and a gruesome pumpkin patch by night. The park also adds two new shows: Blood Bank Cabaret, a vampire-themed bar with musical performances, and Monster Mash Bash, a Halloween concert with dancers and special effects. Boo Fest, the daytime family option, adds four new experiences, and the food menu has grown to more than 25 items.
The other big change is the park itself. Guests who remember the event as Six Flags St. Louis Fright Fest will find the same core lineup under the Mid America Adventure name. EPR Properties owns the property and Enchanted Parks operates it. The park is also selling 2027 season passes with Fright Fest access, which is worth a look if you plan to return.
Haunted houses and scare zones
There are four haunted houses: Creatures of the Corn, a corn maze with scarecrow scares; Gordy’s Gruesome Revenge; Oddball’s Funhouse, a twisted clown funhouse; and Slaughterhouse, where vengeful pigs turn on the visitors. Ticketing for the houses is separate, so decide before you arrive whether you want all four.
The seven scare zones are Dreadwood Pass, Rottingham & Bones Graveyard, Sinister Clowns of the Black Top, Spider Alley, The Underground, Troll Bypass and Zombieville. These are open to everyone with Fright Fest admission. Expect fog, effects and actors in the walkways. The other live shows are Freaks Unleashed and Love at First Fright, which is listed as running for its final year.
Daytime and family activities
Fright Fest itself is an after-dark event with intense themes. For younger children, the park offers Boo Fest, which includes trick-or-treat trails, character meet-and-greets and kid-friendly shows. Check the park calendar for which days Boo Fest runs.
Fright Fest hours are 6pm to 11pm on event nights, and the waterpark is closed during the event. Costumes are only for children 12 and younger, with makeup limited to half the face and no masks. Adult costumes are not allowed.
Tickets, passes and Fast Lane
Fright Fest is included with valid park admission and eligible season passes. Online prices listed on the ticket site are $40.99 for a daily ticket, $67.99 for a daily ticket plus the Haunted Attractions Pass, and $94.99 for a daily ticket plus the Express Haunted Attractions Pass. Bought separately, the Haunted Attractions Pass is $27.99 and the Express version is $54.99. Haunted passes are exchanged for a wristband at designated locations.
A buy-one-get-one offer is available at $59.99 for two tickets, good for Fright Fest or Boo Fest. Tickets must be bought by October 4 and used by October 11. Fast Lane is sold as Single Use for $16.99 or Fast Lane Ultimate for $59.99. Children 2 and under are free. The 2027 Enchanted Legend Pass is $130.99 and includes unlimited visits to Fright Fest in 2026 and 2027. The 2027 Enchanted Hero Pass is $75.99 and lists the same Fright Fest access as a limited-time offer. Buy on the official park ticket site, and check prices there because offers change.

Because Fright Fest runs only on select nights, confirm your date on the park calendar before you buy. If you want the houses, buy the pass with your ticket, since the wristband exchange adds a step on arrival. Haunted houses are not recommended for guests under 13, so plan a separate activity if you are visiting with younger children.
Guests 16 and under need a chaperone who is 21 or older.
