Height requirements decide which coasters your family can ride together, so it helps to know them before you arrive. Six Flags St. Louis in Eureka, Missouri, opened in 1971. In 2026 it was acquired and reopened under the Enchanted Parks family, and on August 27, 2026 it was officially renamed Mid America Adventure. Many guests still search for it as Six Flags St. Louis, so this guide covers both names.

Ride lineups and minimums change seasonally, and the park says requirements are “subject to change at any time for your safety,” so the official park page and the signs at each ride entrance are the final word. Flat rides, water rides and kids’ flat rides are outside the scope of this guide, and a coaster we could not verify is left out rather than guessed.

Every Coaster by Height, Solo and Accompanied
Most listed coasters publish a single minimum height on their official ride page. Only three of them, Rookie Racer, Screamin’ Eagle and Pandemonium, publish a separate lower height for riding with a companion. None of the pages we read list a maximum height. The rides are ordered roughly by fame within each tier.
54 in (137 cm) minimum: BATMAN: The Ride and MR. FREEZE: Reverse Blast. The ride pages list one minimum of 54 in (137 cm) for each and no separate accompanied height.
48 in (122 cm) minimum: The Boss, Ninja, Boomerang, American Thunder and River King Mine Train. The ride pages list a single minimum of 48 in (122 cm) for each. They do not publish a lower height for riding with a companion.
Screamin’ Eagle: 48 in (122 cm) to ride alone, or 46 in (117 cm) with a supervising companion. No maximum height is listed.
Pandemonium: 47 in (119 cm) to ride alone, or 42 in (107 cm) with a supervising companion. No maximum height is listed.
Rookie Racer: the park’s family racing coaster lists 48 in (122 cm) to ride alone, or 36 in (91 cm) with a supervising companion. This is the lowest accompanied height among the coasters we verified. No maximum height is listed.
Fireball and Tornado also appear on the park’s attractions page, but they are not roller coasters in the sense of this guide (Fireball is a Larson single-loop flat ride and Tornado is a giant funnel slide), so they are not included here.
Tips for Families Visiting Six Flags St. Louis
Measure children at home in shoes before you go, then confirm the number at the ride entrance. The park lists requirements on each ride’s page on its website, in the Park Map & Guide, and at each ride. It also says the requirements can change at any time. We could not verify a park-wide height wristband system, so plan on being measured at individual rides.
If your child is between 36 and 48 inches, Rookie Racer (36 in with a companion), Pandemonium (42 in with a companion) and Screamin’ Eagle (46 in with a companion) are the coasters we verified with lower accompanied heights. For the other coasters we verified, the ride pages publish only a single minimum. Ask a team member at the entrance whether a companion option applies.
