The Ride Experience
Riders board one of four trains, each seating 12 people single-file in a narrow, straddle-style car that runs along a single steel rail rather than the usual pair of tracks. After a 130-foot lift hill, the ride plunges down a steep drop before launching into three inversions, including a dive loop, a zero-g stall, and a zero-g roll, all delivered with the twisting, off-axis sensation that RMC’s raptor-track single-rail coasters are known for.
The layout packs a lot of airtime and rapid direction changes into its 3,000-foot circuit, a hallmark of RMC’s design approach. The coaster’s queue also nods to park history, incorporating a statue salvaged from El Diablo, a short-lived spinning coaster that operated at the park from 2015 to 2017.

The ride’s Jersey Devil branding leans into New Jersey folklore, with the number 13 appearing repeatedly in its design, from its 130-foot height to its June 13 opening date and its status as the park’s 13th roller coaster. It was the first new coaster built at Six Flags Great Adventure since The Joker debuted in 2016.
At launch, Jersey Devil Coaster held the record as the tallest and fastest single-rail roller coaster in the world, cementing RMC’s raptor track as a format capable of scaling up beyond the smaller single-rail models the manufacturer had previously built.
