Twin Trapdoors Over Jumeirah
Two riders climb the tower together and step into side-by-side launch capsules. On the count, the floors swing away and both drop simultaneously into near-vertical translucent chutes, racing to the run-out below. The dual layout turns every ride into a race, and the tower’s open-air top serves up a view across Jumeirah Beach, the sail-shaped Burj Al Arab and the wave-shaped Jumeirah Beach Hotel before the floor disappears.
From Triple-Dip to Free Fall
The original Jumeirah Sceirah opened with Wild Wadi in 1999 — a long open speed slide that dropped in three dips, once ranked among the biggest slides outside North America. In 2012 the park replaced it with the twin trapdoor towers that stand today, keeping the name but modernizing the thrill. Wild Wadi itself, operated by hotelier Jumeirah, packs a heated-and-cooled wave pool, master-blaster water coasters and two FlowRider surf machines into its Arabian-themed grounds.
