The Jack O’ Lantern Spectacular is the headline addition. Its producers moved it out of Iroquois Park after 13 years, citing parking pressure there, and it now sits inside Kentucky Kingdom. The park says the trail keeps the same local artists and more than 5,000 hand-carved pumpkins along a quarter-mile path.
Combining the two events also changes what a visit looks like. Instead of a walk-only trail, you can ride at night, eat fall food and then walk the pumpkins on one ticket. The park also promotes a new 2026 season pass from $99.99 that includes event entry.
Iroquois Park is not part of this. The Parks Alliance is running its own separate pumpkin trail there over the same dates, called Jack’s Lantern Trail, so check which one you are buying tickets for.
Haunted houses and scare zones
No haunted houses or scare zones are listed for Pumpkins at Kentucky Kingdom 2026, and this page will not invent any. The evening draw is the glowing pumpkin display instead.

Tips for your visit
Book ahead for October weekends, especially Saturdays, which tend to draw the biggest crowds. Weeknights are usually calmer, though the event does not run Monday or Tuesday.
Arrive with time to ride before dark, then walk the pumpkin trail once the lights show best. Louisville evenings turn cool in October, so bring a light jacket and comfortable shoes for the trail and ride queues.
Standard ride height rules apply, and there are no separate scare-content height limits. Parking is on site near the entrance. One guide lists $15 per car, but that figure could not be confirmed on the official site, so check at checkout. The same guide says costumes are welcome for kids, masks are limited to children under 12 and weapon-like items are not allowed. Confirm current rules with the park.
