Mad Mouse is a steel Wild Mouse roller coaster at Michigan’s Adventure in Muskegon, Michigan. Built by Arrow Dynamics, it opened to the public on August 7, 1999, as the park’s third steel coaster, debuting the same year as the ride now known as Woodstock Express.
True to its Wild Mouse design, Mad Mouse sends single, four-person cars through a tight series of switchback turns before dropping riders through a couple of quick descents and airtime-filled bunny hops. The $2 million ride was built on the site that had previously served as the park’s main entrance.

The Ride Experience
Mad Mouse’s single-car trains carry four riders, two across in two rows, up a chain lift before launching into the ride’s signature feature: a tight sequence of switchback turns that whip the cars sharply from side to side. The layout then drops into a couple of descents and small airtime hops, wrapping up a compact ride that lasts about a minute and a half.
The coaster’s scale makes it approachable for families, with a 42-inch height requirement that opens the ride to younger guests while still delivering the snappy, unpredictable turns that define the Wild Mouse style. In 2022, Michigan’s Adventure gave the ride a fresh look with orange track, a red lift hill, and yellow supports.

Mad Mouse arrived in 1999 as part of a wave of steel coaster additions at the Muskegon park, built on land that had formerly served as its main entrance.
