Lech Coaster is a steel roller coaster at Legendia amusement park in Chorzów, Poland, that opened on July 1, 2017. Built by Dutch manufacturer Vekoma, it holds the distinction of being the first installation of Vekoma’s Bermuda Blitz model, a compact but intense layout designed to deliver a fast-paced inverting experience within a relatively small footprint.

Named after Lech, the legendary first ruler of Poland, the coaster briefly held the record as the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the country upon opening. That record lasted only about a year before nearby Energylandia unveiled Hyperion, but Lech Coaster remains one of Legendia’s signature attractions and a notable entry in Vekoma’s coaster lineup.

The Ride Experience

Riders climb Lech Coaster’s roughly 40-meter lift hill before plunging into a layout built around three inversions, including a reverse sidewinder and two corkscrew elements. The train configuration seats riders two across in two rows, for a total of 20 riders per train across two trains, giving the ride an hourly capacity of around 1,000 guests.

As Vekoma’s debut Bermuda Blitz installation, the coaster was engineered to pack a fast, disorienting sequence of inversions into a tighter footprint than many traditional launched or hyper coasters, making it a compact but forceful ride within Legendia’s park layout.

A Brief Reign as Poland’s Tallest

When it debuted in 2017, Lech Coaster became the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Poland, a title that drew significant attention to Legendia. That record proved short-lived, however, as Energylandia’s Hyperion coaster opened roughly a year later and surpassed it in both height and speed.

Despite losing the national record, Lech Coaster remains a highlight of Legendia’s ride lineup and a recognized entry among European Vekoma installations, valued for introducing the Bermuda Blitz model to the amusement industry.
