Because Dæmonen sits inside a beloved garden park founded in 1843, its designers paid close attention to how the ride would feel and sound to the thousands of non-riders strolling nearby. The track’s red steel rails were filled with sand specifically to muffle the clatter of the trains, keeping the ride’s roar in check without dulling its performance.

Dæmonen debuted in 2004 as a major investment for Tivoli Gardens, sponsored by Mazda for its first three years of operation. It has run with two minor operational incidents, in 2007 and 2008, both resolved through standard emergency-stop procedures and passenger evacuation. In 2017, Tivoli added a virtual reality option using Samsung headsets, letting riders experience an alternate themed overlay during the same physical layout.
