YouTube Theater is a modern concert and event venue located within the Hollywood Park entertainment complex in Inglewood, California, just steps from SoFi Stadium. The 227,000-square-foot facility opened its doors on August 9, 2021, giving Los Angeles a flexible mid-sized venue built to fill the gap between arena shows and club gigs.
Designed by the Dallas-based architecture firm HKS, the three-story theater can reconfigure its seating to hold anywhere from about 3,400 to 6,000 spectators, letting it host everything from intimate acoustic sets to full-scale touring productions. The Mexican rock band Caifanes played the venue’s first official concert on September 4, 2021, kicking off a run of concerts, comedy specials, and esports events under the bright lights of one of the country’s newest live-entertainment hubs.

The Venue Experience
Inside, YouTube Theater was built for intimacy despite its size: the layout keeps the farthest seat only about 164 feet from the stage, and the room is equipped with an L-Acoustics sound system. Six luxury boxes and a roughly 3,500-square-foot premium club give the venue an upscale option alongside general admission and reserved seating, and the adjustable capacity lets promoters scale the room to match the show.
Because it shares the Hollywood Park campus with SoFi Stadium, concertgoers get the benefit of a purpose-built entertainment district with shared parking, restaurants, and plaza space, making the theater a convenient stop for touring artists already routed through the Los Angeles market.
Beyond Music
YouTube Theater’s flexible layout has made it a draw for more than concerts. In March 2022 it hosted the Rocket League Championship Series Winter Major, marking the esports series’ first live event in front of fans in two years. The naming rights deal with YouTube, announced in June 2021, runs for ten years and reflects the platform’s push into live entertainment sponsorship alongside its streaming business.
