48 in (122 cm) minimum: Mamba, Timber Wolf, Prowler, Boomerang, Zambezi Zinger and Spinning Dragons. The park’s ride pages for Mamba, Timber Wolf, Prowler, Boomerang and Zambezi Zinger each list a single 48-inch (122 cm) minimum height, with no separate companion or maximum height published. That means no lower accompanied height is published for these five. Spinning Dragons also has a 48-inch (122 cm) minimum height.
Lowest height, 42 in (107 cm) with a companion: Spinning Dragons is the one coaster where the park’s ride page lists two numbers. The minimum height is 48 inches (122 cm), and the minimum height when accompanied is 42 inches (107 cm). This makes it the best coaster on the list for kids who have outgrown the smallest rides but aren’t yet 48 inches tall.
Maximum heights: none of the coaster pages we read list a maximum height. The park’s FAQ says restrictions may apply to guests of extreme size (height or weight) and are posted at certain rides, so check the posted signs at the ride entrance.
Companion policy: the park’s FAQ defines a supervising companion as someone who meets all the requirements to ride the ride itself, is 14 years of age or older and demonstrates appropriate observed behavior. Separately, the park’s Code of Conduct says that on non-Halloween-Haunt days, guests 16 or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone at least 21 years old. That is an admission rule, not a ride rule.
Tips for Families Visiting Worlds of Fun
Measure your kids at home in shoes off, standing flat against a wall, so you know before the trip which coasters are realistic. A child at 42 to 47 inches (107 to 121 cm) can ride Spinning Dragons only with a supervising companion, and the other coasters listed here need 48 inches (122 cm) or more.
If a child is too short, plan a split day. One adult can ride while the other waits with the child, and the two can then swap. Confirm the exact height rules at the ride entrance, because posted signs and staff measurements decide who rides. We could not confirm from the pages we read whether the park measures guests at the gate or only at each ride, and we found no park-wide height wristband, so ask Guest Services at (816) 454-4545 if you need certainty.
Since heights and lineups can change, check the ride pages on the official Worlds of Fun website and its ride-status page before you go. Attractions can be unavailable on any given day because of weather or maintenance.
