Some coasters have a maximum height as well as a minimum. Tormenta Rampaging Run has a 78 in (198 cm) maximum and The Joker has a 77 in (196 cm) maximum. Tips for Families Visiting Six Flags Over Texas
Measure your kids at home in shoes before you go, and again on the day. A child who is right at a cutoff can miss a ride by a fraction of an inch. For rides with a companion minimum, such as Pandemonium, Wile E. Coyote’s Grand Canyon Blaster and Mini Mine Train, plan for a supervising companion to ride along.
If a child is too short for a big coaster, the kids’ coasters are the natural first step. Mini Mine Train and Wile E. Coyote’s Grand Canyon Blaster start at 36 in (91 cm) with a companion. Runaway Mine Train and Shock Wave are also worth a look as riders grow. Shock Wave starts at 42 in (107 cm), and Runaway Mine Train needs 48 in (122 cm).
Have a plan for split groups. Ask about the park’s rider-switch option at the ride entrance if one adult needs to stay with a child who cannot ride.
