Barracuda Strike (inverted family coaster, opened March 7, 2026): SeaWorld’s ride page and rides index list a minimum of 42 in (107 cm) and no maximum height. The park’s pages do not publish a separate companion or ride-alone height for this ride, so ask staff at the ride entrance how supervision applies to your child.
Beach Rescue Racer (family coaster in the Rescue Jr. kids’ area): 38 in (97 cm) minimum. Guests from 38 to 48 in (97 to 122 cm) must ride with a supervising companion who is at least 14 years old, so the ride-alone height is 48 in (122 cm). SeaWorld lists no maximum height.
Journey to Atlantis is a water-coaster hybrid, so it is left out of this coaster-only list. Only the coasters above have a height requirement verified on SeaWorld’s own pages for this guide.
Tips for Families Visiting SeaWorld San Antonio
Measure your kids at home in shoes off, standing flat against a wall, and compare the result with the numbers above. If your child is close to a cutoff, measure again before you go, because children can measure slightly differently from one day to the next.
The Beach Rescue Racer is the starting point for the smallest riders, since it is the only coaster here open to guests as short as 38 in (97 cm). Barracuda Strike at 42 in (107 cm) is the next step up for kids who have outgrown it. Texas Stingray at 46 in (117 cm) and Steel Eel and Wave Breaker at 48 in (122 cm) come after that, and Great White at 54 in (137 cm) is the tallest requirement.
