The Ranking, Most Intense First
1. Silver Star (Bolliger & Mabillard steel coaster, opened 2002). Height: 240 ft (73 m). Speed: 81 mph (130 km/h) per the park. Intense element: a 220 ft (67 m) first drop at about 68.5°, followed by a string of airtime hills with no inversions. Limits: 140+ cm (4 ft 7 in), 11+ years. It feels like being dropped off a building and then thrown out of your seat over hill after hill.
2. Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac (Stryker launch coaster, opened 2024). Height: 106.6 ft (32.5 m). Speed: 62 mph (100 km/h). Intense element: four launches and seven inversions, starting with a ‘beyond vertical’ launch. The park quotes 105° for it, while Wikipedia gives 95°, so I would not put a number on it. There is also 2.2 seconds of continuous weightlessness and up to 4 G. Limits: 130+ cm (4 ft 3 in), 8+ years. It feels like a car chase in a machine that keeps changing direction, and it is the most physically demanding ride here.
3. blue fire Megacoaster (MACK launch coaster, opened 2009). Height: 38 m (about 125 ft). Speed: 62 mph (100 km/h). Intense element: a launch from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, then four inversions including a tall loop, with up to 3.8 G. Limits: 130+ cm (4 ft 3 in), 7+ years. It feels like being shot out of a dark tunnel into a loop before you have caught your breath.
4. WODAN – Timburcoaster (wooden coaster, opened 2012). Height: 131 ft (40 m). Speed: 62 mph (100 km/h). Intense element: repeated airtime hills, up to 3.5 G, and no inversions. It feels like a fast, floaty, unrelenting series of lifts out of your seat.
5. Euro-Mir (spinning coaster with a nosedive, opened 1997). Height: 93 ft (28.3 m). Speed: 50 mph (80 km/h). Intense element: motors rotate the cars 360° while a nosedive comes off two mirrored towers. Limits: 130 to 195 cm (4 ft 3 in to 6 ft 5 in), 8+ years. It feels like being spun and tipped headfirst, more disorienting than forceful. The park says it closes at the end of the 2026/2027 winter season.

It feels like a quick, curvy, slightly rugged mountain run in the dark.

It feels like a fast sled ride with sideways force, and it is the gentlest of the rides above.
The next three sit outside the intensity ranking because they are gentle family or starter rides. Intense vs Rough: Know the Difference
Silver Star, Voltron Nevera and blue fire are scary because they are intense: height, launches and inversions do the work. Voltron Nevera is the hardest on the body, with seven inversions, four launches and up to 4 G. Silver Star is the hardest on the nerves, because it has no inversions but a 220 ft (67 m) drop and a lot of airtime.
Euro-Mir is the ride most likely to leave you disoriented rather than thrilled, since motors spin the cars at set points on the track. That is my reading of the ride’s design rather than a verified comfort report. Wikipedia notes that Silver Star’s original friction brake trims were a comfort problem and were later refitted with magnetic trims. I did not find a current source rating any Europa-Park ride as rough, so I have not labelled one as rough.
If You Are Nervous, Start Here
Start with Alpine Express ‘Enzian’ (28 mph / 45 km/h, listed by the park as an introductory coaster). Move on to Pegasus (43 ft / 13 m tall, 40 mph / 65 km/h), and then Swiss Bob Run (66 ft / 20 m, 31 mph / 50 km/h). All three have a lower minimum height than the big coasters, and each page lists its own supervision rules. Note the wording is ‘only when accompanied by an adult’ for the younger and shorter bands, so check each ride’s limits before you queue.
