Frost Bank Center is the home arena of the San Antonio Spurs, standing on the city’s east side next to Freeman Coliseum. A Fortress for Spurs Championships
Frost Bank Center has been the site of some of the Spurs’ greatest moments. The team clinched NBA titles at the arena in 2003 against the New Jersey Nets, in 2005 in a Game 7 win over the Detroit Pistons, and again in 2014 over the Miami Heat. The venue also hosted Finals games during San Antonio’s 2007 and 2013 championship runs, cementing its reputation as one of the toughest road environments in the NBA.
More Than Basketball
Beyond the Spurs, the arena has served as home to the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL from 2002 to 2020 and the San Antonio Stars of the WNBA from 2003 to 2017. It also functions as a major concert and event venue, with a maximum gathering capacity around 19,000; Black Sabbath played their final United States show there in November 2016. San Antonio officials announced plans in November 2024 for a new downtown Spurs arena targeted for completion by 2032, which would eventually replace Frost Bank Center as the team’s primary home.
