From Kivett & Myers to National Sports Practice
HNTB’s entry into sports architecture came through its 1975 merger with Kivett & Myers, a firm already respected for shaping the look of American stadiums. HNTB’s portfolio includes Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, home of the San Francisco 49ers and one of the first NFL venues built to LEED Gold standards, and Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the roughly $1.9 billion home of the Las Vegas Raiders that opened in 2020. The firm has also worked on renovations and reconstructions such as Camping World Stadium in Orlando, and continues active stadium projects at universities including Kansas and Northwestern.
