The Ride Experience
Riders board 24-passenger ‘stretch limo’ trains inside a soundstage-themed queue before the LSM launch fires them from a standstill to 57 mph in under three seconds, generating forces of up to 5 Gs. The fully indoor layout then winds through the darkened show building, hitting three inversions, including a signature corkscrew, while a synced soundtrack plays through speakers built into each seat’s headrest.
The entire circuit lasts about 1 minute and 22 seconds and covers roughly 3,268 feet of track, making it one of the fastest indoor launches at any Disney park.
From Aerosmith to the Muppets
For 27 years, the attraction ran as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, framing the launch as a race to catch the band’s concert with their music playing throughout the ride. Disney removed the Aerosmith pre-show in December 2025 and closed that version on March 2, 2026 to begin the retheme.
The reimagined attraction reopened on May 26, 2026 as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, with a new queue themed to the fictional G-Force Records label and a soundtrack of covers performed by Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem. The track, launch system, and stats remain unchanged from the original ride.
