Riders board a wagon from the fictional Carpathian Carriage Company at the camp of the Guild of Mystics, where the seer Maleva warns that they bear the mark of the werewolf. From there, spinning cars race through a dark, cursed forest and a shed full of clawing figures, using dual LSM launches to keep the wagons twisting through more than two minutes of chase-themed thrills.

The Ride Experience
Curse of the Werewolf uses dual linear synchronous motor (LSM) launches to send its five-car, 20-rider trains spinning through the Cursed Woods set. Because the cars can rotate freely on their axis, every turn and launch hits differently depending on which way the vehicle happens to be facing, giving each lap of the ride a slightly different feel.
The layout blends outdoor forest scenery with an indoor show building where riders race past menacing werewolf figures before a final launch back toward Darkmoor Village. Universal designed the coaster as a family-friendly thrill ride, with a fear rating well below Epic Universe’s bigger launch coasters, making the spinning element the main source of intensity rather than height or speed.
Story and Theming
The attraction sits in Dark Universe, the land built around Universal’s classic monster movies, and gives the Wolf Man legend its own original narrative. Before boarding, guests pass through the camp of the Guild of Mystics, where Maleva the Wolf Seer sets up the chase that follows once the carriage departs into the woods.
