Scarywood Unveils New Nightmares Haunted House at Silverwood
Silverwood’s annual Scarywood Halloween event has added a new haunted house for 2026 called Nightmares, which the park says walks guests through 13 different phobias across 14 rooms, according to Screamscape. Two new scare zones, The Wharf and Doom Town, join the event, alongside four other returning haunted houses (The Swine, Chuckles 3D Sideshow, Blood Bayou and Pharaoh’s Curse) and 10 scare zones total. Fans planning a fall trip can browse more seasonal park events heading into the holidays.
New Mandalorian and Grogu Pins Arrive at Disneyland
Disneyland Resort has added two new open-edition Star Wars pins to Black Spire Marketplace in Galaxy’s Edge, both priced at $14.99, reports WDWNT. One pin shows a chibi-style Grogu riding in his hover pram, while the other depicts the Mandalorian mid-flight holding the Darksaber and a chibi Grogu. Guests staying at the Disneyland Hotel can walk over to Galaxy’s Edge to pick them up.
Minecraft Shows Construction Progress on Escape the Nether Coaster
Minecraft has released real construction footage of Escape the Nether, an indoor-outdoor roller coaster heading to the new Minecraft World land at Chessington World of Adventures in the UK in 2027, per Attractions Magazine. Riders will travel between the blocky Overworld and a darker, purple-lit Nether environment, though height, speed and ride-length stats haven’t been released. Sections of the coaster’s distinctive red track have already arrived on-site as building continues.
EPCOT Launches Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit for 2026
EPCOT’s seasonal scavenger hunt, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, launched September 25 and runs through November 2, 2026, according to WDWNT. For $11.99 plus tax, guests get a pumpkin-shaped game board and stickers to match against character-themed pumpkins hidden around the park, including Pluto, Mickey, Donald, Groot and Figment. Guests who don’t finish the hunt can still redeem their board for a mini Mickey candy bag while supplies last.
Minecraft World Hotel Concept Art Revealed
During Minecraft LIVE on September 26, Minecraft also shared concept art for its under-construction Minecraft World Hotel at Chessington World of Adventures, notes Attractions Magazine. Renderings show family rooms with Creeper- and TNT-inspired decor, bunk beds for kids, and an underwater-themed Deep Sea Diner restaurant. The hotel is planned to open alongside the Minecraft World land in 2027.

NFL Defends Brazil Game Field Ahead of Cowboys-Ravens Matchup
The NFL declared the Maracanã Stadium field in Rio de Janeiro game-ready ahead of Sunday’s Cowboys-Ravens matchup, the league’s first game in Rio, according to Front Office Sports. Concerns arose after Flamengo soccer players criticized the pitch’s condition following heavy rain, and video of the turf drew social-media backlash. The NFL says it used field-stitching equipment to reinforce the grass, while the NFLPA said its concerns center on performance rather than safety.
