Magic Kingdom Opening-Day Pianist Randy Morris Has Died
Randy Morris, the ragtime pianist who entertained guests at Magic Kingdom’s Casey’s Corner starting with Walt Disney World’s opening day on October 1, 1971, died on October 25, 2026, WDWNT reports. Morris began performing for Disney in 1970 and, beyond Casey’s Corner, played with the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue and the Riverboat Rascals; he returned to Casey’s Corner in October 2021 to mark Magic Kingdom’s 50th anniversary by playing the same piece he had performed there 50 years earlier.
Stadiums & Arenas
Lamar Jackson Contract Standoff Looms as Ravens Tread Water
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson missed his third consecutive game on October 25 because of the ankle injury he suffered against the Titans on October 4, and Baltimore fell to 4-3 after a 35-13 loss to the Bengals, Front Office Sports reports. Jackson, who negotiates his own contracts, is in the fourth year of the five-year, $260 million deal he signed in 2023, which now ranks just 12th among NFL quarterbacks in average annual value — fueling speculation about a future extension.
