Six Flags to Relocate Headquarters to Arlington, Texas
Six Flags Entertainment announced Aug. 25 that it will relocate its corporate headquarters from Charlotte, North Carolina, to its existing offices at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, Texas, with the move expected to be complete by March 2027, Blooloop reports. Choctaw Stadium has housed part of the company’s corporate workforce since 2020; the new headquarters will sit closer to Six Flags’ five Texas parks and serve as a central base supporting the chain’s 34 amusement and water parks and nine resorts across North America.
Hersheypark Apologizes for ‘Insensitive’ Reply After Parton’s Death
Hersheypark issued a public apology after a park social-media account replied to an unrelated post with “Our summer tickets are $49.99” shortly after news of Parton’s death broke, a comment many read as an attempt to undercut Dollywood while it mourned, Inside the Magic reported. Construction Permit Filed for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios
Disney has filed a new construction permit for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at Hollywood Studios, just months after the ride reopened in May with its Muppets retheme, WDWNT reports. The permit, filed by Disney’s Sourcing & Procurement department, contracts in-house team Buena Vista Construction Company to provide labor, materials and electrical work; Disney has not detailed the project’s scope. Mad Hatter’s Hat Uncovered at Grand Floridian Splash Pad
The Alice in Wonderland-themed splash pad at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, closed for an unannounced refurbishment since Aug. 12, now has its giant Mad Hatter hat bucket uncovered after weeks under plastic wrap, WDWNT reports. The site’s slides remain blocked off and no water is running yet, suggesting the project is still in progress.
Spookley the Square Pumpkin Makes His Wild Adventures Debut
Spookley the Square Pumpkin will make his first appearance at Wild Adventures this fall as part of Great Pumpkin LumiNights, powered by Georgia Power, running select days from Sept. 26 through Nov. 1, Park World reports. The Valdosta, Georgia park is adding a dedicated Spookley’s Trick-or-Treat Trail included with admission, ending with a story time and meet-and-greet with the character.

Harry Styles opened his 30-show Madison Square Garden residency Wednesday night by paying tribute to Dolly Parton, telling the sold-out crowd “Dolly, we love you.
