Why was the team called the Utah Hockey Club?
It was a temporary name for the 2024–25 season while a permanent one was chosen with fan voting. The team became the Utah Mammoth on May 7, 2025.
Are the Mammoth the old Arizona Coyotes?
No. The NHL created the Utah team as a new franchise in April 2024. It acquired the Coyotes’ players, coaches and draft picks, but the Coyotes franchise itself was declared inactive, and its history is not part of the Utah team’s.
Is the Delta Center being renovated?

Where do the Mammoth play now?
At the Delta Center in downtown Salt Lake City, which holds up to 16,020 for hockey.
